This is all an excuse to post the trailer for the new movie ‘The Further Mis-Adventures Of Cliff Booth” along with some of my thoughts on movies, storytelling and Hollywood. That’s why I added the tag to the title: More of this please.

So, what we have here is the character of Cliff Booth, played by Brad Pitt. It’s the same character from ‘Once upon a time, in Hollywood’. We find our hero about 8 years later and now he’s a studio ‘fixer’. He makes problems go away. The film was written by Quentin Tarantino and directed by David Fincher. Let’s do more movies like this.

Now, I’m assuming this flick will have a similar tone to the original and it’s legit, another adventure in this guy’s life. Let’s not get crazy like they did with John Wick and add a bunch of new sidekicks and do some wacky handoff to a new character. Let’s just stick with this fella and have some fun. (Oh, and don’t kill him. That’s key too.)

I’m a fan of ‘Further Mis-Adventures’ type of movies and I’m not alone. Hollywood, however, keeps killing the characters that have the fun misadventures. Han Solo? Dead. James Bond? Dead. Tony Stark? Dead. (although Marvel may have realized thier mistake and be bringing him back to life in this next Avengers movie. Just a guess) So, let’s have all the movies with Cliff Booth we can get. Don’t kill him. We’re running low on good characters.
