Okay, let’s go. This is the post midterm blame game post. Here’s what we’re going to do. Like most of the political ecosphere, we’re going to take a look at how the GOP got here. We’ll take a look at the shellacking that happened last night and highlight some posts that we either think make sense or that we just want to ridicule.

This is one of the things I like about politics. I like the philosophical discussion parts. I enjoy the passion. We might as well have fun while we learn, right? And hopefully we are all learning from the elections last night.

Alright. Let’s jump in! Here’s my 2 cents: The party that was supposed to be all ‘America First’, didn’t do enough America First stuff. Translation: It’s the economy. Shit is just too expensive. Now that’s a lot to fix and things are improving, but it wasn’t enough. Throw in the oil and gas BS from the military shit in Iran? Yikes. There’s more to all this, but I really wanna move fast today.

This is a big part of it. Plain old fashioned stupid. Spencer Pratt seems to get it.

Thune is getting a lot of attention today. Yup. He was fond of blaming the Senate Parliamentarian for crazy non-votes.

The “America First” issue like Voter ID? Very popular.

Another popular one? Immigration enforcement. Yup.

You may remember this Thomas Massie fellow and some people saying that he isn’t the enemy. Huh. Go figure!

I believe there is something to this. We need to focus on the beginning of the new things.

This is interesting.

So, I’ll close with this: It wasn’t one thing that hurt the GOP. It was a many, many things. Idiots, foreign wars, no Epstein arrests. No corruption arrests. No big ones anyway. It was a lot of things, and they are all very big deals.

The good news? The American people are smart. And if these elections mark anything? It’s the beginning of the end of the status quo and start of what could be very exciting times. Let’s go! I remain optimistic about what America can do.
