Recently, Disney decided to play a little more politics with the Star Wars franchise. This time with the name of Boba Fett’s spaceship. Apparently, Disney told the fine people at Lego to just refer to the craft as “Boba Fett’s Starship.” So here’s a heads up: Boba Fett’s ship is the Slave I. End of discussion. This kind of shit is idiotic and needs to stop.

Why would Disney even want to change the name? We all know the answer. “Slave” is a “trigger” word in the black community or something like that. Okay, let me walk you through this without being too insensitive. You’re being idiots, Disney. Stop.

First of all, it’s fiction. Second, lots of people in Star Wars were slaves, including good ol’ Darth Vader himself, Anakin Skywalker. So slavery is kind of color blind in Star Wars. Just like real life. Pretty sure slavery right here on Earth featured people of every skin color. So there’s that. There’s no need to save us from the “horror” of seeing or hearing the word “slave.” You’re only trying to solve a problem that doesn’t exist.

But on the bright side? You were able to make Star Wars fans unhappy. Something you’re really excelling at!
