The story in Afghanistan is developing faster than a Polaroid picture at a roller rink birthday party in the 80’s. So we thought we’d give you the highlights and some of our thoughts in this Afghan Disaster Round Up.

We choose the word disaster because that’s what it is. A disaster. One that could have been avoided. We won’t argue the point of, “Should we have stayed or not?”. That’s for another day. Let’s all get on the same page for a moment and assume the U.S. was going to pull out. Okay? You with me? IF you’re going to get out of Afghanistan, you don’t do it the way our military is doing it now. This is just short of total pandemonium. Did they NOT have a plan?
Who was in charge? Who decided to leave the helicopters, Humvees, weapons and military weapons behind? And what about all the Afghan people who helped us on the ground? The translators and people like that? Are we just leaving them behind? It seems like it. That’s horrible and beyond outrageous.
That the military leadership was so blindsided by the Taliban going full agro should be a huge wake up call for everyone here at home. We have idiots in charge of our military. Just morons. These are people without a clue.
To the brave men and women who served in the region, here’s a message for you: we love ya. You did your job. We honor and respect you as well. Someone should have put YOU in charge and we wouldn’t be witnessing this total shit show. You’re badasses.
