It’s 2022 and the adults are back in charge. Yes, a well seasoned President surrounded by Obama Administration veterans who made us dare to embrace the Audacity of Hope.
And if there’s one thing we learned from eight years of Obama was that the key to world peace is a good social media game. Thank your deity of choice that we have Jen Psaki who brought American leadership to the Ukraine situation. And it only cost Ukraine the Crimean peninsula.
Well, maybe not lasting since things have gotten a little heated over there. But don’t worry, if there’s one thing the Democrats know how to do, it’s double down on its successes.
Why this trip down memory lane? Well, in keeping with this winning strategy, Psaki met with Tik Tok social media “influencers” to bring them up to speed on the geopolitical landscape and enlist their talents on… well who the hell knows.
Now, dear reader, this is not parody. Not yet. This is a thing that happened.
I mean, sure they’re mostly very easy on the eye and I’m sure every 17 year old boy plus a few oligarchs and friends of the former Jeffrey Epstein is into the Tik Tok babe. That said, I’m not sure “cease fire” is the first thing that comes to mind.
