The Week in Memes – MAGA Mugshots Edition

This is the kind of week we love here at The Loftus Party. It was a week will all the things: a Republican debate, Georgia mugshots and general craziness.

So as democracy gives way to lawless third-world authoritarianism, ironically in the name of saving democracy, we can at least appreciate its circus like nature.

This week, Fulton County, Georgia charged Donald Trump with felony election interference. To maximize the political theater, they took mugshots, then got really bent that Trump maximized political theater for himself by using the mugshots.

The real hilarity is, of course, the memes.

It may have backfired.

In other news, there was a televised Republican debate. I wish I could say more, but I didn’t want to miss the Matlock marathon on TVLand. Judging from the next-day reactions, everyone both won and lost and Vivek Ramaswamy confused everyone.

I’m not too proud to admit this one hit pretty close to home.

And finally, the fire in Hawaii. Already tragic but made worse by gross incompetence and a healthy dose of deadly wokeness.

In Hawaii’s hour of greatest need, the Great Unifier, President Biden appeared to assure the afflicted.

President Biden did a great job sticking to the script.

There were moments where he appeared a little lost.

Catch you next week!
