One of our favorite Star Wars content YouTubers, Robot Head, reviews the trailer for The Acolyte. His take is of course highly entertaining, and he doesn’t bury the Lede: The Acolyte is from showrunner Leslye Headland, former assistant to Harvey Weinstein. Huh. That’s interesting. All of Harvey’s other assistants have come forward with horror stories about Harvey and his… proclivities. Leslye must have not noticed. She was probably busy working on other things. Who knows? It’s just one of those odd Hollywood things, I guess. So, we live in a world where Barbara Streisand’s former hair guy is now a big time Hollywood producer and Harvey Weinstein’s old assistant is running a Star Wars show for Disney. Oh well. I’m sure it will all pay off for Disney with their latest Star Wars show, The Acolyte. It’s not like Disney is coming out with a bunch of shows where they just said: Put a chick in it.
