What happened? I’m seeing all these articles about how the viewership for Daredevil: Born Again is lower than Acolyte. Lower than Loki. Lower than Ahsoka. What is going on here? The explanation is really quite simple.
Now, let the record show that I’m a fan of Daredevil. Loved the Netflix show and Daredevil: Born Again on Disney+ hasn’t sucked. Here’s the problem with Marvel and Disney. They have made entirely too much garbage. Disney and Marvel have been piling up crap content for years! Now the audience associates Disney, Marvel and Star Wars with shit. That’s the explanation for the lack of viewers for Daredevil.
It’s not like people didn’t see this coming. If only someone would have said something like oh… years ago. Not to say I told you so, but… I told ya so.
Here’s the adage for show business: You’re only as good as your last show. That’s part of secret sauce to success. Hollywood has forgotten that. They think there will always be another movie or series to save them. Who cares if Book of Boba Fett sucks? We’ll win em back with Acolyte. LOL! How that’s working out? Marvel is in the same boat. Who cares if Captain Marvel sucks? We’ll win em back with Secret Invasion. Oof.
Disney, Marvel, Star Wars are all in the same hole. Their only hope is to put down the woke shovel and stop digging. Write better stories without the slightest hint of woke. But can they do it? I don’t think so. That’s a real bummer.
