Who said trade wars and tariffs can’t be fun? If you’re like me, you probably lost a few bucks this week in the stock market. But one group really made out like bandits – the Meme Lords!
You see, Trump announced tariffs and pulled back as trading partner nations made deals to remove their barriers to to American products. But one proud nation, China, decided to fight back and increase their own tariffs on us. I’m no economist, so please accept this as simply a lead-in to the best non-lethal meme-war salvos fired.
There are other great meme-crossover episodes.
China shot back with their best social media team but the old adage, “the left can’t meme” is doubly true for humorless authoritarian communists.
And then tensions escalated.
And escalated.
And … well you get the picture.
