The big news this week are the mass layoffs at the Washington Post. While many American industries have collapsed over the years, there’s only one that journalists care about – their own. So there was much weeping and wailing this week.
Oh yeah, and there’s this sports thing starting this week. It just started so there aren’t many memes yet as the talent is still in bed nursing hangovers. Don’t worry, we’re sure we will have a bumper crop next week.

If you were incapacitated and your caretaker propped you in front of the TV so she could sneak out for a smoke, you may have watched The Grammy’s. For the rest of you, Billie Eilish, like many others, used that screen time to make safe yet brave political messages about stolen land and ICE. Unlike in previous eras, America collectively voiced their distain for these virtue signaling celebs. Even the Native American Tongva tribe got in on it. You see Eilish’s mansion is no their land. We’re guessing she doesn’t give it back.

Hey Gordon! Really enjoyed your very funny TWIM on this cold and very windy Saturday. The Washington Post layoffs come as no surprise at all. I had a spirted talk on Friday with a gentleman who thought it was awful that the these folks were shown the door and thought Bezos should burn money to keep these people employed (for the greater good ,of course) 14 climate journalists? Really? He had a mutiny on his hands when he refused to endorse Kamala and they think he’s going to keep them all gainfully employed. It is mind boggling.
Two weeks in a row, I get a shoutout and Marco Rubio memes. You are spoiling me ,Gordon. Not a big fan of the Olympics but I will be watching the hockey because the NHL players are back..
The Billie Eilish Grammys speech and it’s aftemath has been a whole lot of fun to watch. I absolutely loved your video. People went crazy for The Boss’s Youtube video as well. I’m over all of the entitled celebs and their political speeches Just accept your award ,thank the right people and then go to In and Out Burger. We’re done.
