Oopsie daisy, looks like Eric Swalwell suddenly in the hot seat. Big time. The congressman and candidate for governor of California suddenly finds himself facing some very serious allegations. Four women have come forward describing misconduct that deeply disturbing.
Now is the time where we remind people that in America, everyone is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Right? It’s the right thing to do even if for some people it’s just a thing they say.
Swalwell is getting absolutely nuked online. The hits just keep coming. The amount of ammo that this guy’s enemies have is just incredible. We could do a whole post just with clips of Swalwell being a dick. We’ll do a couple. How about that. It sets a tone for the piece.
And there’s the Chinese Spy “Fang Fang” part of it too.
Which brings us to the current situation with Swalwell. He’s been accused of some horrible things. Dude is still in Congress. He’s running for governor of California, but as of right now, support for Swalwell is drying up on the Dem side of things. And it’s drying up fast. Incredibly fast.
That’s just a partial list. Many unions have pulled their support overnight. Now I’m not saying Swalwell is innocent. I’m saying the timing of the charges are super suspect. It’s almost like some group of people don’t want Swalwell to run for Governor in California to split the Dem vote. I’m not alone in this either.
It is wild to watch this Swalwell story unfold. California has a crazy system of ranked voting and the Swalwell stuff would certainly get him out of the way and clear the path for other candidates, hurting the chances of a guy like Republican Steve Hilton.
If Swalwell doesn’t suck up a bunch of votes? Those people now (in theory) all vote for the next Dem on the ballot.
Maybe I’m just jaded, but in politics, timing is everything. If it happens? It was planned that way.
We’ll keep an eye on the Swalwell situation. It’s getting dirtier and dirtier out there in politics-land. Remember when Fang Fang with this big scandal? That should have been the end for Swalwell, and now here we are.
