You know how they say “history repeats itself first as tragedy second as farce”? Well, just this last Friday, Lincoln was assassinated all over again but a Law & Order team will report that it was a suicide.

What the hell am I going on about? Fair question. Let me clarify. This story involves a group of amoral political operatives (is there any other kind?) known as The Lincoln Project. These are the political consultants who came to prominence as the “Never Trump” Republicans who were going to rescue the party from the nasty, uncouth and worst of all, not establishment Donald Trump.

It was a popular grift and yet another group happy to receive tremendous funding to ensure Trump lost the 2020 election.

So how did these principled Republicans preserve conservatism? By trolling, lying and being as every bit outrageous as the Orange Hitler they stood against.

Well, due to their very high morals and conservative values, they landed themselves in all sorts of legal problems, the biggest of which was co-founder Mike Weaver making all sorts of very inappropriate sexual advances to young men inside and outside of the Lincoln Project.

Being very principled conservatives, you just know they reformed, cleaned house and quietly slinked away. LOL! Naw, they doubled-down on douchebaggery with threats and lies.

OK, enough about the old white men fleecing Democrats out of millions to play dirty politics and buy new Aspen homes.

It’s time to meet the other scummy player, shall we?

Meet Terry McAuliffe, Clinton crony and win-at-all-costs candidate for Governor of Virginia.

Throughout the campaign between McAuliffe and his Republican opponent, Glenn Youngkin, McAuliffe has used an ever-escalating series of dirty tricks to get elected. Everything from having his allies in Dominion Energy donate to a left-wing group to run ads attacking Youngkin from the right on gun control in rural Virginia to hysterically claiming Youngkin would ban abortion and put doctors “in jail.” His lies got so out outrageous even The Washington Post has called him out on it.

So on Friday, the Perfect Storm of Scum and Villainy came together to stage an anti-Youngkin stunt. As Youngkin’s campaign bus sat in Charlottesville, a neo-Nazi group that included a Black man, a soy boy and a she/her stood in front of it with tiki torches.

As you would expect, the prank energized every idiot in the usual Blue Check world of liberal pundits and news outlets (but I repeat myself). It started with this weak-sauce “report” from the local NBC affiliate. It has since been re-written and proofread to read a little more like news.

NBC tweeted the above un-skeptically and those involved were spreading it out within minutes. Almost as if this might have been coordinated or somethin’.

First came the outrage.

Then, came the unravelling. Something so comically stupid that Twitter sleuths identified the racists as young Democrat activists figured it out during their coffee breaks.

It got so bad that, I believe, the perpetrators had to blow the lid off it to keep the sh*tstorm from causing further backlash.

Here’s a tongue-twister for you: Do douchy douches double-down dutifully?

The good news is that a lot of lousy people had their sh*t blow back on them, some Democrats will not hire The Lincoln Project again for this epic screwing of the pooch and most importantly, Glenn Youngin is now in a statistical tie.
