This weekend’s Jams hero is none other than rock icon, Steve Winwood. Like so many British rock acts of the late 60s/early 70s like Yes, Deep Purple, Elton John and Genesis, Winwood had early hits, then seemingly disappeared for a decade and finally came back as hot 80s poppy rock.

Today we honor Winwood’s early Traffic and 80s solo work. This being the Jams, we’re gonna focus on his slower, smokey blues music.
