On June 24, Tucker Carlson delivered a monologue on so-called critical race theory. At one point, he focused on Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Mark Milley. He, and other military leaders, are propagandizing the armed forces with CRT. And Carlson spoke about how their radically progressive zealotry is causing grave damage to the nation.

Carlson’s monologue is worth watching in its entirety. However, what was especially interesting to me is when he addressed Milley and the armed forces. In particular, he made some insightful comments regarding Milley’s previous defense of CRT—a defense that was vulgar and that made no sense.
However, Milley — invited by a Democrat lawmaker to respond — chimed in with a staunch defense of studying critical race theory, saying he thought it was important for military leaders to be “widely read.”
“I want to understand white rage, and I’m white,” he said, referencing the January 6 Capitol riot. “What is it that caused thousands of people to assault this building and try to overturn the Constitution of the United States of America?”
Milley added he has read Mao, Marx, and Lenin, but that it did not make him a Communist.
“So what is wrong with understanding…about the country for which we are here to defend?” he said.
So was Milley comparing those preaching CRT to Mao, Marx, and Lenin? Obviously not. Or was he saying that he considers white people with “white rage” to be his enemy and that he wants to “learn” about them by reading works by them? Also, obviously not, because he’s not promoting “white rage” writers and activists.
So his comments were bizarre. And like I said, Carlson noticed and addressed them.
Again, his monologue is worth watching in its entirety, even as his remarks on Mark Milley and other military leaders are particularly interesting.
