Sunday Jams with The Cure. RIP Perry Bamonte

It’s a sad one. Last night I found out about the passing of Perry Bamonte, he was a guitarist and keyboardist for The Cure. He was 65. All I know about his death is that he passed after a ‘brief illness’. Any way you look at it, it’s sad. The guy was an important member of the band, and he will be missed. Evidently, he had recorded a bunch of new material and that stuff will be released as an album in the not-too-distant future. He will be missed. Perry joined The Cure in 1990 so, please refrain from the ‘Actually, he didn’t play on that track. It was recorded before he joined’ emails. Thank you. We’ll jam out to some of happier songs from the band.

Here’s The Cure on Sunday Jams. RIP Perry Bamonte.

Absolute classic. Love it every single time.

I was sad to hear of Perry Bamonte’s passing. He was such a creative musician and a vital member of The Cure. It’s crazy to know that he was actually a one time roadie and guitar tech for the band. He was a great addition to The Cure after Roger O’Donnell left. I always thought it was so cool that he played a 6 string bass. Hopefully his last recordings will be released for the world to hear. I’m glad you picked some happier songs to pay tribute to him. RIP Perry. You will be missed.
