My first post here at the Loftus Party, January 18 almost 2 years ago, taking a trip down memory lane and re posting this recipe for tender, juicy, sticky ribs, a little sweet, a little spicy and totally addictive. With the Super Bowl right around the corner I thought that these ribs would be a delicious addition to your food lineup. Here’s how to make them:
Prep time: 15-20 minutes
Cooking time: 4 hours
Serves: 4-6
Ingredients:
1 rack pork spare ribs
1/2 c ketchup
1/2 c hoisin sauce
1 tbs your favorite chili sauce (or more for more heat)
2 tbs apple cider vinegar
3-4 scallions cut into 2 inch pieces (white and light green part of scallion)
1-2 inch piece fresh ginger peeled and sliced
1 tbs brown sugar
1 tbs honey
kosher salt (for salting ribs)

Directions:
Pre heat oven to 300 degrees. Line a rimmed baking sheet with foil. Lay spare ribs on foil and salt both sides. Add the other ingredients to food processor or blender and blend until smooth. Coat each side of the ribs with half of the sauce, using the reserved sauce to baste while baking. Cover tightly with foil and bake for 2 hours. After they have been in the oven 2 hours uncover, baste with more sauce and return to the oven, uncovered for 2 more hours, baste with more sauce as needed. Enjoy!

What an easy and scrumptious rib recipe. Thank you for sharing it, again, Suzanne.
I am curious as to what kind of chili sauce you use . I usually purchase the one that is like a sweet heat (similar to the Confetti Sauce at Popeyes Chicken)
I also want to thank you for including your website, which I briefly checked out. You got a new fan!! You have some recipes listed that I will be trying soon.😁
Hi Sheree; thank you so much. I use Huy Fong or Mae Ploy sweet chili sauce available here in Asian food section or World market. Honestly, any Asian chili sauce will do. Thank you again!! Have a great day.
